Day 2

Mobula rays and Bay full of life

At this time of year, Mobula rays migrate in huge schools of thousands near the shores of Baja California, and this season their largest aggregations can be seen. Each day we hop on a boat and spend the day searching for them, watching their acrobatic leaps out of the water and finding the best opportunities to swim with them. Hundreds of rays leaping out of the water and slapping against the ocean's surface is one of the most amazing natural spectacles on the planet. On these exploratory expeditions, we'll also search for the orcas, sperm whales and blue whales that cross this area. The waters of the Gulf of California are teeming with life, and we'll be looking for every opportunity to swim with the amazing wildlife we'll have the chance to see. There will be a morning or afternoon yoga/meditation/breathwork session that will complement your wildlife experience. We found that pairing  yoga or meditation with the strong wildlife experience is a perfect combination - it makes us more grateful, present in life and gain perspective on what is important.

• Accommodation: Private villa, (rooms for 2 with private bathroom)

Day 3
Sea lion Colony

On this day, we will drive through a scenic route full of cacti to spend time on a boat with stunning scenery along the coast of Baja California. We will swim in a large colony of sea lions and play with their curious pups. The sea lions here in Los Islotes are friendly and playful, the youngs often come very close and ask you to play with the air bubbles and their moms come to inspect you out and sometimes even want to be touched. We will enjoy lunch on a white sandy beach in a beautiful blue lagoon, and on the way back to the port, we will observe rare birds, dolphins, and other marine life in this area full life.
• Accommodation: Private villa,
(rooms for 2 with private bathroom)

Day 4 and 5

Mobula rays and Bay full of life

Each day, we will spend around 6 hours on the boat looking for the best wildlife experience this special place has to offer - thousands of mobula rays dancing underwater as one, encounters with intelligent orcas, and the possibility to see blue whales, sperm whales, different species of dolphins and other marine animals. It is no coincidence that even National Geographic chose this area to shoot some of the footage for their ocean documentairs. Each day, we will also enjoy our yoga or meditation sessions to deepen our experience, connect with nature, and give us specific time to include these important moments as core memories.
• Accommodation: Private villa, (rooms for 2 with private bathroom)

Day 6
Cabo Pulmo Hope Spot
This day, we will move to a secluded town more south on the Baja California peninsula from where we will have the access to the Cabo Pulmo Nature Reserve - a hope spot for marine life. When we arrive, we will dedicate this day to relaxing, enjoying the stunning beach views and beach yoga with the sunset. We will observe the stars that are incredibly bright here due to a minimum light pollution.
Accommodation: Beautiful Mexican Casa
(rooms for 2 with private bathroom)

Day 7

Cabo Pulmo - Hope Spot & Blue Whales

Cabo Pulmo is a small coastal town on the south-east coast of Baja California and is one of the most beautiful examples of the successful transformation of a rustic fishing village into a sustainable tourism destination. Cabo Pulmo is a so-called Hope spot - a place where animals can breed and stay without danger. Since 1995, when it began to be protected, the number of living organisms has increased by a staggering 420%. This is the best season when we can encounter blue whales here - the biggest animals on this planet, dolphins, and huge tornadoes of fish, some of which have been famously photographed here. Cabo Pulmo is proof that ocean conservation makes sense, and you can look forward to seeing what the ocean can look like when treated with respect - stunning and full of life.

What to look forward to?

On this extraordinary expedition, we will immerse ourselves in the breathtaking diversity of marine life found in the waters of the Gulf of California, aboard private boats exclusively for our small group. Guiding you through this remarkable journey will be professional animal behavior experts  with years of experience. When we will not be on the boat connecting with the animals, we will unwind during yoga, meditation and breath work sessions.

Our expedition starts near La Paz, in a secluded town nestled amidst the desert landscape, full of majestic cacti. The coastal waters here are sheltered by Isla Cerralvo Island - also known as the Jacques Cousteau island - named after the famous oceanographer, who called these waters “the aquarium of the world” when he saw the abundance of marine life here. Here we will witness the awe-inspiring gatherings of Mobula rays. These magnificent creatures, numbering in the thousands, grace this location annually, captivating our senses with their acrobatic leaps above the water's surface, culminating in spectacular splash landings. We will enjoy unforgettable snorkeling and freediving experience amidst their magnificent formations. This mobula rays aggregation in Baja California has been immortalized in prestigious documentaries by BBC and National Geographic.

During our stay here, we will also have the opportunity to encounter dolphins, various whale species, and possibly orcas, that arrive in this area during this season to feed. Orcas are extremely intelligent animals and we might be lucky to interact with them in their natural habitat, observe their fascinating behavior and enjoy their presence in a totally peaceful way - we never chase the animals, we let them come to us. Respect for the animals is always our top priority - orcas are smart, observant, and caring, the same as us humans, and that is how we will treat them.

From there we will take a trip to the beautiful Espiritu Santo Island, an hour's drive away, revealing a rugged and unspoiled Baja California coastline. At Espiritu Santo Island, we will have the exhilarating opportunity to swim among a very friendly sea lion colony — the largest in the Gulf of California — where we can engage with their playful pups while snorkeling. Our knowledgeable guides will explain about the intriguing behavior and body language of these magnificent creatures, ensuring that we approach them with utmost respect and only when they are comfortable with our presence.

We will end our expedition in the Cabo Pulmo Hope spot, a very special place where we will look for the biggest animals of our planet, the majestic blue whales. Seeing these animals in the wild is an unforgettable experience. The size of this animals is truly breathtaking. We will also have a chance to freedive and snorkel among the biggest jackfish tornadoes here, a beautiful natural phenomena of hundreds of silvery fish creating a "tornado effect" and a perfect opportunity for amazing photos.

When we will not be on the boat connecting with the animals, we will relax during yoga, meditation and breath work sessions. Through the combination of yoga and swimming with wild animals, you will learn more about yourself, gain clarity on priorities in your life, and leave this journey with an unparalleled and cherished experience, one that you will remember forever.
